| Description | A highly colourless alkaloid from Glaucium flavum Cr. var. vestitum, the base
forms clusters of red needles from EtOH-CHC13. The ultraviolet spectrum has
three absorption maxima at 245, 312 and 470 mil with a shoulder at 325 mil.
Four methoxyl groups are present, the structure having been established from
