| | Triclabendazole Usage And Synthesis |
| Description | Triclabendazole is a benzimidazole anthelmintic. It eliminates both immature and adult flukes in a sheep model of F. hepatica infection when administered at a dose of 10 mg/kg. Triclabendazole (5 μM) also protects against glucose- or α-synuclein-induced apoptosis in S. cerevisiae via inhibition of adenylyl cyclase in the Ras-adenylyl cyclase-protein kinase A (PKA) nutrient sensing pathway. | | Chemical Properties | Off-White Solid | | Uses | Triclabendazole is classified under the category of ‘Anthelmintic flukicide for veterinary use. | | Uses | An anthelmintic (fasciola). | | Definition | ChEBI: 6-chloro-5-(2,3-dichlorophenoxy)-2-(methylthio)-1H-benzimidazole is an aromatic ether. | | Synthesis | Synthesis of Triclabendazole
 | | in vivo | Triclabendazole (20-100 mg/kg, Intraperitoneal injection, twice a week for 2 weeks) has anti-tumor effect in the xenograft MDA-MB-231 cells model nude mice[1]. | | IC 50 | Caspase-8; Caspase-9; Caspase 3; Leishmania; Bcl-2; Bax; PARP | | References | [1] Patent: CN106632067, 2017, A.
