N749 black dye is a ruthenium complex, in which the ruthenium center contains one terpyridine ligand substituted with three carboxyl groups and three thiocyanato ligands | | Uses | Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) can be surface modified by using N749 to enhance the photocatalytic characteristics of hydrogen evolution system. It may also be used as a high efficiency dye for niobium pentoxide (Nb2O5) photoanodes which can be used for the fabrication of titanium oxide (TiO2) coated dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). | | General Description | N749 Black Dye (N749) has ruthenium at the center that forms a co-ordinate bond with the monoprotonated tricarboxyterpyridine and three thiocyanates.
