| Uses | CHPG Sodium Salt (cas# 1303993-73-8) is a useful research chemical.Also, it is derived from 2-Chloro-5-hydroxybenzaldehyde (C368225), which is used as a reagent in the synthesis of p38 inhibitors which are used for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It is also used in the preparation of halogenated analogs of L-meta-tyrosine which is a biodegradable herbicide. 2-Chloro-5-hydroxybenzaldehyde may also be used as a starting material in the synthesis of chlorinated phenylephrine. | | Biological Activity | CHPG sodium salt is a selective mGluR5 agonist and attenuates SO2-induced oxidative stress and inflammation in BV2 microglia via the TSG-6/NF-κB pathway.
