| Uses | Penicillin-Streptomycin has been used for the prevention and elimination of bacterial contaminants in cell culture. | | General Description | Penicillin (Penicillin G) inhibits bacterial growth by inhibiting peptidoglycan synthesis. Streptomycin belongs to the family of aminoglycoside antibiotics and inhibits bacterial growth by inhibiting protein synthesis. | | Biological Activity | Penicillins can prevent the synthesis of bacterial cell wall.
