18-Azido-stearic acid Usage And Synthesis
Uses18-Azido-stearic acid is a click chemistry reagent containing an azide group. 18-Azido-stearic acid can be used as a hydrophobic bioconjugation linker (using N-Myristoyltransferase) that can be further modified at the azido-position using Click-chemistry[1]. It contains an azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing alkyne groups. It can also undergo ring strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
