UsesPNU 96415E is an antipsychotic agent; SR-2A inhibitor.
Biological ActivityAntipsychotic agent. Displays high affinity for dopamine D 4 and serotonergic 5-HT 2A receptors and relatively weak affinity at D 2 receptors (K i values are 3.0, 5.8, 134, 181, 199, 240, 411 and > 678 nM for D 4 , 5-HT 2A , 5-HT 1A , α 1 , D 2 , D 3 , D 1 , α 2 and muscarinic receptors respectively). Inhibits exploratory locomotor activity and antagonizes d-amphetamine-induced locomotor stimulation in rats.
