| | 6-CHLORO-2-PHENYL-IMIDAZO[1,2-A]PYRIDINE Usage And Synthesis |
| Synthesis | General method: a mixture of 2-amino-5-chloropyridine (1 mmol) and 2-bromoacetophenone (1 mmol) was placed in a microwave reaction tube. The reaction tube was placed in a microwave synthesizer and the reaction conditions were set to 65 °C, 120 W power and 1 bar pressure. After 15-20 min of reaction under microwave radiation, the reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature. The crude product was purified by alumina column chromatography with dichloromethane as eluent to give pure 6-chloro-2-phenyl-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine. | | References | [1] Journal of Chemical Research, 2016, vol. 40, # 9, p. 529 - 531 [2] Synthetic Communications, 2005, vol. 35, # 7, p. 901 - 906 [3] Tetrahedron Letters, 2017, vol. 58, # 28, p. 2771 - 2773 [4] Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1999, vol. 72, # 6, p. 1327 - 1334 [5] European Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2014, vol. 2014, # 21, p. 4643 - 4650 |
