| Uses | 16:1 aldehyde-d5 has been used as an internal standard in lipid extraction from lung tissue and liquid chromatography/with tandem mass spectrometry analysis (LC/MS/MS). It has also been used as a standard in lipid extraction from plasma, derivatization of 2E-hexadecenal for quantification in quadrupole/time-of-flight (QTOF) mass spectrometer connected with a rapid-resolution-liquid-chromatography (RRLC). | | Biological Activity | 16:1 aldehyde is a predominant fatty aldehyde in phospholipid of bovine adipose tissue, Lactobacillus and few bacteria like Selenomonas ruminantium, when grown on glucose and even-numbered volatile fatty acids.
