UsesTriethylantimony is mainly used as a catalyst in organic synthesis.
ApplicationHigh-purity triethylantimony provides antimony sources for semiconductor materials such as AlSb, GaSb, and InSb, and is one of the most important sources for growing optoelectronic materials in the process of metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) and chemical beam epitaxy (CBE).
Safety ProfileMost antimony compounds arepoisons. Ignites spontaneously in air. When heated todecomposition it emits toxic fumes of Sb.
Synthesis
