Chemical PropertiesClear liquid with ammonia odor
Uses1,1,3,3-Tetramethyl-1,3-divinyldisilazane is used for silicone rubber, silicone resin, silicone gel and vinyl manufacturing.
Application1,1,3,3-Tetramethyl-1,3-divinyldisilazane, a vinylsilazane, could cross-linked with polyhydromethylsiloxane in the presence of Karstedt's catalyst. When the reactions were carried out in solvent-free conditions, non-porous polysiloxane-silazane networks were obtained[1].

Synthesis

Add 2 mol of dimethyl vinyl chlorsilane to the reactor, pass ammonia into it for the reaction, the amount of ammonia is controlled to be the molar ratio of dimethyl vinyl chlorsilane to ammonia 2:3.4, and 99% of the ammonia is passed in 2 hours,

A, control the reaction pressure to be 5 kg of NH3 pressure, the reaction is carried out at 130C, and the reaction time is 6h, and at the end of the reaction, add dichloroethane to dissolve the Product;

B, the above product will be added to the total amount of product mass of 0.05% of hydroquinone, tert-butyl catechol and copper naphthenate, at a temperature of 160-163 , 760 mmHg conditions for molecular distillation, to obtain colorless transparent liquid. The content of the product was 98.95% and the yield was 98%. The density of the tested product was 0.819g/cm3, ammonium chloride was 0, 1,1,3,3-tetramethyl-1,3-divinyl disilazane content was 0.1%.

Toxics Screening LevelThe initial threshold screening level (ITSL) for tetramethyldivinyldisilzane (CASRN 7691-02-3) is 30 μg/m3 based on an annual averaging time.
