| Description | Calcium 2-oxoglutarate is a reversible tyrosinase inhibitor, an intermediate in the production of ATP or GTP in the Krebs cycle, and a major carbon skeleton for nitrogen assimilation reactions. It has a variety of biological roles and can be used as a precursor for the synthesis of glutamate, an enzyme involved in the synthesis of amino acids and fatty acids, involved in the transcriptional regulation of cells and influencing plant metabolism, among other roles.
