UsesIlicicolin A is a potent anticancer agent. Ilicicolin A induces apoptosis. Ilicicolin A inhibits cell growth and colony formation. Ilicicolin A shows antitumor activity. Ilicicolin A has the potential for the research of prostate cancer[1].

Ilicicolin A (10 mg/kg; i.p.; six times a week for 3 weeks) inhibits tumor growth in mice[1].

Animal Model:Four-week-old, 18 g, male NOD/SCID mice (22Rv1 cells) [1]
Dosage:10 mg/kg
Administration:I.p.; six times a week for 3 weeks
Result:Suppressed tumor growth but did not elicit a significant effect on bodyweight.
