| Synthesis | c) Synthesis of 2-(3-aminopyridin-2-yl)ethyl acetate: Pd/C (10%, 1.36 g) was added to a round-bottomed flask under nitrogen protection. Ethyl 2-(3-nitropyridin-2-yl)acetate (8.6 g, 0.041 mol) was dissolved in ethanol (200 mL) and subsequently added to the reaction vessel. The reaction system was placed under hydrogen atmosphere and the reaction was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes. Upon completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture was filtered through diatomaceous earth and the filtrate was concentrated under vacuum to afford the brown solid product ethyl 2-(3-aminopyridin-2-yl)acetate (6.94 g, 94% yield). | | References | [1] Patent: US6369086, 2002, B1
