General DescriptionCyclohexanone dimethyl ketal reacts with trimethylsilane in the presence of trimethylsilyl triflate to form the corresponding ether. It can also undergo allylation and propargylation in the presence of indium to form the corresponding homoallylic or homopropargylic alcohol, respectively.
