在氮气保护下，将2-溴-5-苯基噻吩（化合物111，2.50g，10.4mmol）溶解于无水THF（50mL）中，冷却至-78℃。缓慢滴加正丁基锂（n-BuLi，8.4mL的2.5M己烷溶液）。反应混合物在-78℃下搅拌1小时后，缓慢加入硼酸三甲酯（2.40mL，20.9mmol）。继续在-78℃下搅拌30分钟，随后移除冷却浴，使反应混合物逐渐升温至室温，并在37℃下搅拌3小时。反应完成后，用1N HCl（100mL）淬灭反应，随后用乙酸乙酯萃取。合并有机层，用无水硫酸镁干燥，减压浓缩。粗产物用石油醚浆化，经过滤并干燥，得到(5-苯基噻吩-2-基)硼酸（化合物112，1.04g，产率48.8%）。
