| Synthesis | Methylmagnesium bromide (2 mL, 3.0 mol/L, 6 mmol) was added slowly and dropwise to an anhydrous tetrahydrofuran (10 mL) solution of quinoxaline-6-carboxylic acid methoxy-methyl-amide (1 g, 4.6 mmol) at 0°C and under nitrogen protection. The reaction solution was gradually warmed to room temperature over 2 hours. Upon completion of the reaction, the reaction was quenched with ammonium chloride solution and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic phases were combined and concentrated to give the crude product.
