| Chemical Properties | PVDF is one of the best radiation-resistant plastics on the market, second only to PEEK and polyamide, combining the properties of both fluoropolymer and general-purpose resins. In addition to the resin itself, which has good resistance to chemical corrosion, high temperatures, oxidation, weathering, and radiation, it also possesses special properties such as piezoelectricity, dielectricity, and thermoelectricity. The polymer mixes with organic solvents such as amines and esters at elevated temperatures, making it adequate for use as a corrosion-resistant glass in chemical processing equipment.PVDF exhibits excellent resistance to organic acids, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, and halogenated solvents in part.
