UsesIDR-1 is an antimicrobial peptide that is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. IDR-1 counters infection by selective modulation of innate immunity without obvious toxicities. IDR-1 has anti-inflammatory and anti-infective properties, enhances the levels of monocyte chemokines, and attenuates pro-inflammatory cytokine release[1][2].
