| Synthesis | General procedure for the synthesis of cis-3-aminocyclobutanol hydrochloride from tert-butyl (cis-3-hydroxycyclobutyl)carbamate: tert-butyl (1S,3S)-3-hydroxycyclobutylcarbamate (see Preparation 4A; 187 mg, 1 mmol, 1.0 equiv.) was dissolved in 4N HCl/MeOH solution (15 mL), and the reaction was stirred for 4 hours at room temperature.
