| General Description | A mixture of two compounds. Various forms of zinc arsenate are known. Zinc orthoarsenate Zn(AsO4)2. 8H2O is a white odorless water-insoluble powder. Zinc metaarsenite is a white water-soluble powder. Highly toxic by ingestion and inhalation. | | Air & Water Reactions | Insoluble in water. | | Reactivity Profile | ZINC ARSENATE-ZINC ARSENITE MIXTURE has weak oxidizing or reducing powers. Redox reactions can however still occur. The majority of compounds in this class are slightly soluble or insoluble in water. If soluble in water, then the solutions are usually neither strongly acidic nor strongly basic.
