| Chemical Properties | off-whtie powder | | Uses | 1-Bromo-3,5-diphenylbenzene is used in the synthesis of Aromatic Dendrimers Bearing 2,4,6-Triphenyl-1,3,5-triazine Cores. | | Synthesis | To a 500 mL reactor was sequentially added 1,3,5-tribromobenzene 25 g (79 mmol), phenylboronic acid 23.3 g (191 mmol), potassium carbonate 32.9 g (238 mmol), tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium 6.12 g (3 mmol), distilled water 50 mL, and toluene 125 mL.The mixture was stirred in 125 mL of 1 ,4-dioxane and refluxed for 24 hours. Upon completion of the reaction, the organic layer was separated and concentrated under reduced pressure.
