It is used as a reagent in the preparation of substituted indolines and carbazoles by benzyne-mediated cyclization-functionalization. | | Synthesis | Example 47 Synthesis of N-Boc aziridine 166: To a solution of aziridine 165 (125 mg, 0.49 mmol) in dichloromethane (7 mL) was added triethylamine (70 μL), DMAP (catalytic amount), and di-tert-butyl dicarbonate (Boc anhydride, 113 mg, 0.52 mmol) in sequence. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 h and then concentrated under reduced pressure to remove the solvent.
