| | L-Tyr-NCA Usage And Synthesis |
| Uses | L-Tyr-NCA is used as a reactant in the synthesis of peptides. Peptides such as glutamine penefit in optimum protein utilization for post-injury conditions. | | Uses | N-Carbonyl-L-tyrosine Anhydride (L-Tyr-NCA) is used as a reactant in the synthesis of peptides. Peptides such as glutamine penefit in optimum protein utilization for post-injury conditions. | | Synthesis | L-tyrosine (1.0 g, 6.1 mmol, 1 equiv) was added to a thick-walled pressure bottle, and then 15 mL of analytically pure tetrahydrofuran, propylene oxide (4.3 mL, 61 mmol, 10 equiv), and triphosgene (897 mL) were added. Stir at room temperature for 7 hours. The result solution was Washed, dried, and crystallized. After that, the final product L-tyrosine nitrogen-carboxyl anhydride (L-Tyr-NCA) was obtained.
