| Synthesis | GENERAL METHODS: A mixture of isopropanol pinacol borate (0.5 mmol), trimethylsilyl acetylene (0.75 mmol), PPh3 with L1 and AgCl (1 mol%), and Cs2CO3 (1.1 mmol) in DMF (5 mL) was stirred for 24 hr at 50°C in an Ar atmosphere. After completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture was acidified with 1 M hydrochloric acid solution in an ice-water bath and the aqueous phase was extracted with ethyl acetate (three times). The combined organic layers were washed with brine, dried with Na2SO4 and subsequently concentrated under reduced pressure.
