| | Dehydrocurvularin, 10,11- Usage And Synthesis |
| Uses | Dehydrocurvularin is a 12-membered macrocyclic lactone incorporating a resorcinyl moiety, produced by a number of fungal species including Curvularia, Penicillium and Alternaria. Dehydrocurvularin inhibits cell division by disrupting mitotic spindle formation and acts as a developmental regulator by inhibiting self-sporulation in Alternaria alternata. More recently dehydrocurvularin has been shown to have antimalarial activity. | | Uses | 10,11-Dehydrocurvularin is an inhibitor of cell division shown to have antimalarial activity. | | storage | +4°C |
