| Uses | Astringent and skin conditioning agent in cosmetics. | | Biological Activity | In glycolysis, ALDOA catalyzes the reversible reaction of fructose-1,6-bisphosphate to glyceraldehydes-3-phosphate and dihydroxyacetone phosphate. High expression level of ALDOA is reported in various forms of malignant cancers, including human lung squamous, renal cell and hepatocellular carcinomas. ALDOA deficiency causes myopathy and hemolytic anemia. |
