| | dihydroxanthohumol Usage And Synthesis |
| Uses | Dihydroxanthohumol, >90% is a minor hop prenylflavonoid and a derivative of Xanthohumol (X741950). Unlike Xanthohumol, Dihydroxanthohumol cannot be metabolized to 8-Prenylnaringenin (P712900). Dihydroxanthohumol was shown to have antiproliferative activity against cancer cells. | | Definition | ChEBI: Dihydroxanthohumol is a member of the class of dihydrochalcones that is the alpha,beta-dihydro derivative of xanthohumol. Isolated from Humulus lupulus, it exhibits inhibition of NO production. It has a role as a metabolite and an EC 1.14.13.39 (nitric oxide synthase) inhibitor. It is a member of dihydrochalcones, a polyphenol and an aromatic ether. |
