Uses2-p-Tolylaminoethanol is derived from 1,2-Ethylene Glycol (E890140), which is used in the synthesis of nanotubes (1) and nanocables (2). Also primarily used in the synthesis of polyester fibers and PET (polyethylene terephthalate) bottling products. Also used in the study of phosphocholine membranes through the synthesis of polyethylene glycol (4).
