| Synthesis | The general procedure for the synthesis of (R)-1-(3-bromophenyl)ethylamine from 1-(3-bromophenyl)ethanone oxime is as follows: 1 equiv. of N-[1-(3-bromophenyl)ethylidene]hydroxylamine, 5 mol% of RuCl(Cymene)(S-tol-Binap)Cl catalyst, 5 equiv. of additives, and 70 vol. of methanol (relative to the amount of the oxime) are added to a glass vial. The glass vials were placed in a parallel autoclave, which was pressurized to 30 bar with hydrogen, then heated to 90 °C and kept for 24 hours. After completion of the reaction, the system was cooled to 20 °C. The reaction mixture was diluted with isopropyl alcohol.
