ACTH (6-24) (human, mouse, rat, porcine, bovine, ovine) (trifluoroacetate salt) Usage And Synthesis
DescriptionACTH (6-24) is a peptide fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH; Item No. 24257), a peptide hormone found in the brain that is involved in the biological stress response.1,2 ACTH (6-24) is a competitive inhibitor of steroidogenesis induced by ACTH (1-39) and ACTH (5-24) with mean Kd values of 13.4 and 3.4 nM, respectively.3 It also inhibits corticosterone production and cAMP accumulation induced by human parathyroid hormone (1-34) (Item No. 24985) when used at a concentration of 100 nM.4WARNING This product is not for human or veterinary use.
