| Uses | Ethyl Indole-5-carboxylate is used as a reagent in the synthesis of pyrazole-based cathepsin S inhibitors. | | Synthesis | Graphene oxide (GO, 50 wt% by mass of indole-5-carboxylic acid) was added as indole-5-carboxylic acid (0.2 mmol) and ethanol (0.6 mmol) in ethanol or dichloroethane (DCE, 1 mL), and the mixture was transferred to a test tube equipped with a magnetic stirrer. The reaction was stirred at 100 °C for 24 h.
