The main pollution sources of manganese are waste waters discharged from black metal mine, metallurgy and chemical industries.
The significance of manganese test
Manganese salt is of low toxicity, but excessive levels of manganese in water makes the ugly manganese stains are left to clothing, textiles and papers. Therefore, in general the manganese content of industrial water is not allowed to be more than 0.1mg/L.
Principle
This method equals to potassium periodate oxidation method (GB11906-1989), in the presence of potassium pyrophosphate - sodium acetate, low valence manganese will be oxidized to permanganate salt instantly by potassium periodate at room temperature, and the color is stable for a long time.

Operating in accordance with the instructions, users can complete the manganese test independently without specialized training. 10 minutes is enough to complete the analysis of one water sample.
Accurate and reliable
Determination results with this method are in accordance with the results with the standard method. It can be used as an alternative method to the standard method.
The range of the determination: 0.1～10mg/L. If the concentration is out of the range, please repeat the operation after appropriate dilution of the water sample.
