Product Describtion:
Methoxy(dimethyl)octadecylsilane(MDOS) is an organosilane with one methoxy group. It is a silane coupling agent which forms a self-assembled monolayer(SAM) on a variety of particles.

Product Application:
MDOS can be used as an adhesion promoter between wool fiber and the polyethylene matrix that can be used to conserve waste of wool and poultry feathers. Wood fibre silanized with MDOS can be used as reinforcement to prepare polyethylene based composites with improved thermo-oxidative stability. Silica spheres for HPLC colums were reported to be functionalized with methoxy(dimethyl) octadecylsilane. 1 Methoxy(dimethyl) octadecylsilane may be grafted on the surface of ZnO nanoparticles.
