Tetracycline Hydrochloride belongs to a family of broad-spectrum antibiotics that inhibit protein synthesis in bacteria by blocking the binding of aminoacyl-tRNA to the bacterial ribosome and has been used in a variety of root canal studies. In tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) studies, tetracycline hydrochloride increased the concentrations of sIL-6R, IL-1RA, sTNFR1 and decreased the levels of TNF-α.
