The zircon powder is manufactured by grinding natural high-purity zircon sand concentrates and is a ceramic glaze additive with the granularity greater than that of zirconium silicate. It is used as a main material as well as for glazing in ceramic industry, so that the finished ceramics has higher wear resistance and surface smoothness.
The zircon powder is used as a casting coating and ceramic core in investment casting industry. In addition, it also has special purposes in many chemical industries such as cosmetics, corrosion resistance of instruments, leather making and fiber (used for manufacturing fireproof fiber).
