Claudins（CLDN）是一个蛋白质家族，形成紧密连接并维持上皮细胞和内皮细胞的极性。CLDN18在胃和肺中特异性表达。在通过选择性剪接产生的两种CLDN18亚型转录物中，CLDN18.2是一种高度选择性的胃谱系标志物，可确定肿瘤状况下的胃表型，而CLDN18.1是肺特异性的。CLDN18.2是一种高度选择性的胃谱系抗原，仅在短暂分化的胃上皮细胞上表达，其对抗体药物的可及性有限。14，15 CLDN18.2在恶性转化过程中保持不变，因此经常显示在人类癌症细胞表面。
