The ion exchange resin process is the main production process used in bisphenol A plants, with the production plant using methyl mercaptan as a co catalyst occupying a dominant market position. Due to its boiling point at 7.6 ℃ under normal pressure, being a gas at room temperature, and having a foul odor and strong toxicity, the storage and transportation process of methyl mercaptan is strictly restricted. Currently, 2,2-dimethylthiopropane (BMTP) is commonly used instead of methyl mercaptan to be added to the bisphenol A production system.
At present, the BMTP used by bisphenol A production enterprises is expected more in China, so last year, we do a lot research and plots ,now we can supply it in bulk.
