白细胞介素-20（IL-20）属于IL-10相关细胞因子家族，包括IL-10、-19、-20、-22、-24和-26。IL-20通过两种类型的受体复合物诱导STAT激活，其中一种与IL-19共享，表明它们的生物活性可能重叠。这两种细胞因子都可能在调节皮肤的发育和正常功能方面发挥重要作用。IL-20也被证明可以促进内皮细胞管的形成，这表明它可能参与血管的成熟和重塑。
