Progranulin分子背景
Progranulin是一种分泌型糖蛋白，在人类中由单个GRN基因编码。Progranulin由12-半胱氨酸granulin基序的七个半串联重复的不相同拷贝组成。许多细胞过程和疾病都与这种独特的多效性因子有关，包括但不限于胚胎发生、肿瘤发生、炎症、伤口修复、神经变性和溶酶体功能。由GRN基因内的常染色体显性突变引起的半相合性导致额颞叶变性，这是一种进行性神经元萎缩，在患者中表现为额颞叶痴呆。
