IL-22BP分子背景
该基因编码II类细胞因子受体家族的成员。编码的可溶性蛋白通过阻断IL-22与其细胞表面受体的相互作用，特异性结合并抑制IL-22的活性。编码的蛋白质可能在调节炎症反应中起重要作用，并与结肠肿瘤发生的调节有关。选择性剪接导致编码不同异构体的多种转录变体。异构体1可能在建立和维持成功怀孕中发挥作用。异构体2是IL-22的受体。与IL-22结合，阻止与功能性IL-22R复合物的相互作用，并阻断IL-22的活性（体外）。可能作为IL-22拮抗剂在调节炎症反应中发挥重要作用。
