GH625 is a cell penetrating viral peptide composed of 20 amino acids and is a part of glycoprotein H of type I herpes simplex virus. GH625 can cross the cell membrane and transport many conjugated cargo into the cytoplasm. GH625 can penetrate the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and enter the rat brain without any toxic effects. GH625 can be used for siRNA delivery research.
