Uroguanylin-15 (Rat) is a cyclic peptide composed of 15 amino acids, containing two pairs of disulfide bonds in its sequence. Urinary guanosine is a diuretic sodium peptide that regulates renal sodium excretion when excessive sodium chloride is consumed. Urinary guanosine protein and guanosine protein are related peptides that activate common guanylate cyclase signaling molecules in the intestine and kidneys. Urinary guanosine was isolated from urine and duodenum, but was not detected in the extract of rat colon. Uroguanylin-15 (Rat) is a murine urinary guanosine polypeptide.
