USE:
DTPMPA is widely used in water treatment applications, primarily in circulating cooling water systems and boiler water treatment. By forming complexes with metal ions, it inhibits the deposition and crystallization of calcium, magnesium, and other ions in water, thereby reducing scaling and corrosion in components such as pipe walls and heat exchangers.
Additionally, DETPMPA is employed in industries including textiles, paper manufacturing, and petrochemicals as a scale inhibitor, corrosion inhibitor, chelating agent, and stabilizer to prevent mineral buildup, protect equipment, and enhance process efficiency.
