TUBA1B (tubulin alpha 1b) is a member of the α-tubulin protein family, which plays a critical role in forming microtubules—dynamic cytoskeletal structures essential for cell division, intracellular transport, and maintaining cell shape. As one of the most conserved α-tubulin isoforms, TUBA1B is ubiquitously expressed across tissues and is particularly abundant in proliferating cells due to its involvement in mitotic spindle assembly during mitosis.
