Atosiban is a cyclic peptide containing 9 amino acids. In clinical manifestations, Atosiban is the only uterine specific uterine contraction inhibitor. Its mechanism of fetal protection is to compete with oxytocin for oxytocin receptors on the uterine muscle layer, decidua, and membranes, antagonize the action of oxytocin, and thus achieve the effect of inhibiting uterine contraction.
