The KPNA6 antibody is a crucial tool for studying the function and expression of Karyopherin alpha 6 (KPNA6), a member of the importin-α family involved in nucleocytoplasmic transport. KPNA6. encoded by the *KPNA6* gene, facilitates protein import into the nucleus by binding to cargo proteins containing classical nuclear localization signals (NLS) and interacting with importin-β1 (KPNB1) to mediate translocation through nuclear pores. This protein is part of a larger family with seven isoforms (KPNA1–7) in humans, each exhibiting tissue-specific expression and substrate preferences.
