Lamin B2 is a key component of the nuclear lamina, a mesh-like structure underlying the inner nuclear membrane that provides mechanical support to the nucleus and regulates chromatin organization, gene expression, and cellular signaling. As a B-type lamin, Lamin B2 is distinct from A-type lamins (e.g., Lamin A/C) in its expression pattern; it is constitutively expressed in most cell types and plays critical roles during cell division, nuclear envelope reassembly, and maintaining nuclear integrity. Antibodies targeting Lamin B2 are essential tools for studying its localization, expression levels, and functional interactions in both normal and disease contexts.

These antibodies are widely used in techniques like immunofluorescence, Western blotting, and immunoprecipitation to investigate nuclear architecture defects, cell cycle dynamics, and diseases linked to lamin dysfunction.
