This protein carries a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 39.9 kDa. The protein migrates as 45-55 kDa under reducing (R) condition, and 90 kDa under non-reducing (NR) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

细胞毒性T淋巴细胞抗原4(CTLA-4,亦称分化簇152/CD152)是一种下调免疫系统的蛋白受体。该蛋白属于免疫球蛋白超家族成员,表达于辅助T细胞表面,可向T细胞传递抑制性信号。其结构包含胞外V结构域、跨膜结构域及胞质尾部,存在编码不同亚型的可变剪接变体。CTLA-4与T细胞共刺激蛋白CD28具有相似性,二者均可与抗原呈递细胞表面的CD80(B7-1)和CD86(B7-2)分子结合。不同的是,CTLA-4传递抑制性信号,而CD28传递激活性信号。在调节性T细胞中发现的胞内CTLA-4可能对其功能至关重要。CTLA4-抗体融合蛋白(CTLA4-Ig)目前已应用于类风湿性关节炎的临床试验。
