This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus, followed by an Avi tag (Avitag™).
The protein has a calculated MW of 35.9 kDa. The protein migrates as 40-50 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

间皮素(MSLN)亦被称为CAK1抗原、前-原-巨核细胞增强因子,属于间皮素蛋白家族。该蛋白可通过弗林蛋白酶样转化酶发生蛋白水解切割,形成以下两条链:巨核细胞增强因子(MPF)和切割形式的间皮素。MPF与切割形式的间皮素均具有N-糖基化修饰特性。间皮素/MSLN能够与MUC16发生相互作用。膜锚定形式的MSLN可能在细胞黏附过程中发挥作用,而MPF则在体外实验中显示出促进巨核细胞集落形成的能力。
